Tree Stewardship & Stories: Pollinator Garden and Food Forest Community Engagement Event at St. Edward's University

  • St. Edward's University Campus Garden 3001 South Congress Avenue Austin, TX, 78704 United States (map)

Join us for a celebration of native Texas trees and pollinator-friendly plants at St. Edward's University! Activities will include native tree, shrub, and wildflower planting, a discussion on the importance of native Texas pollinator plants, and a Q&A with our campus arborist about how to care for your trees through extended drought, polar freezes, extreme heat, and anything else that nature throws their way. Participants will help us expand our Monarch Waystation by planting more wildflowers, and help us to grow our new campus Food Forest by planting trees and mulching pathways. We will end by enjoying some tree-derived snacks and treats, including Yaupon iced-tea and pecan cookies!
