With the destructive fires out west, and the hundreds of firefighters from Texas that battled the blazes, it might be difficult to think of fire in the landscape as a positive. However with prescribed fires and controlled burns, ranchers, land managers, and fire professionals are able to mimic wildfire while minimizing risks. This presentation will go over the basics of how Rx Fire is employed in and around Austin, how it benefits the landscape, what safety measures are present, and how to get involved.
