Nectar Collectors: The Secret Life of Pollinators

  • Zilker Caretaker's Cottage 2105 Andrew Zilker Road Austin, TX, 78746 United States (map)

To bee or not to bee? Join the City of Austin’s Park Rangers for this interactive program that gives children a deeper look into some of our unsung pollinators, like beetles, bats, and moths, and how plants have learned to coexist with them. There will be models of each animal and their corresponding plant, and participants will be challenged to think like scientists, using clues about their adaptations to match them together.

The program also includes a Monarch Vision demonstration, using UV light to give participants a glimpse of what life looks to our most famous local pollinator.

COVID-19 Protocols

Hand sanitizer will be provided, and masks are encouraged.
