  • George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center 1165 Angelina Street Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

Come join Black Lives Veggies at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center to learn about butterflies, their role in ecosystems, and how to support the Monarch migration as it travels through Austin!

Founded in 2020, in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests and pandemic-spurred renewed interest in DIY gardening, the nonprofit organization Black Lives Veggies promotes food sustainability and entrepreneurship for disenfranchised communities.
