An official Roots & Wings Pop-Up Event!

Join Travis Audubon for a day of exploring the biodiversity of Blair Woods, their 10-acre preserve in East Austin! From birds to fungi, this property is teeming with life that we would like to learn more about, and we want to share this special place with everybody.

Travis Audubon will host one-hour walks led by knowledgeable folks with a focus on specific groups of organisms. Beginners are welcome to join us on these walks to learn about the wildlife present at Blair Woods.

This event is free but registration is required for all walks. Registration opens October 15 at 12 PM. Registrants are welcome to sign up for more than one walk. We request that families with young kids join us for our family walk at noon.

Learn more and register.

COVID-19 Protocols

All participants are expected to follow Travis Audubon’s COVID-19 guidelines, including required masking regardless of vaccination status if Austin is still in Stage 4.

This event is brought to you by Travis Audubon and was funded with the support of the Roots & Wings Festival Microgrant.
